About our services and how to get started:

We will require members to agree to specific terms of agreements in order to bring you quality assurance.  The members will need to agree to certain testing stipulations.  Due to an increased interest in testing and a very reasonable cost, we can now make testing more affordable for the smaller scaled breeders as well as hobbyists who are willing to begin testing.

We are relying on the honesty and integrity of our members as this needs to be a cooperative effort  from everyone involved in this effort.  The members will sign a consent form which gives permission to Ernie Colaizzi, owner and director of Research Associates Laboratory of Dallas to release your test results to the PATS.  This form will be sent to you after you have filled in the contact form on the bottom of this page.  This document is legally binding and needs a notory signature stamped on it before sending in the samples for testing.

The first step is to fill out the contact form and submit it to us. We will contact you with further instructions after we receive the initial contact form.

The sign up information includes a disclaimer and terms and conditions of agreement  to membership which you will need to review prior to signing up. No names will be disclosed  at this time on this website unless it is requested by the individual breeder or hobbyist.  Every effort goes into retaining each breeder's privacy. This is strictly used for research and data compilation.

If the breeder consents, this information will be used to let people know where they can purchase bearded dragons from breeders that are currently testing. Your privacy is very important to us and we will make every effort possible to ensure that it is not invaded in any way.

While we here at the PATS realize that no system is perfect, we feel this is a huge leap in the right direction and we feel the effort of trying to establish Adeno virus free colonies here in the United States is needed to ensure a healthier future of breeding for bearded dragons.  Every measure will be taken to ensure that this testing system is done in a professional and efficient manner.

This new avenue is to provide and encourage breeders and hobbyists to have more confidence in the testing results.  I am very pleased to be offering this Polymerase Chain Reaction test through the Research Associates Lab in Dallas, Texas.  This is an incredible opportunity to work with Ernie Colaizzi.  This will take our data compilation one step further since this is more definintive and can confirm a positive or a negative test with absolution.  It is still recommended to continue testing for 1-2 years, periodically, to ensure the results.  If they are testing clean for 1 1/2 to 2 years it is safe to claim they are Atadenvirus free unless you introduce a new dragon into the colony without the proper quarantine and testing.

We are looking forward to providing the most current data on Adenovirus that we possibly can in order to help people in their efforts of obtaining the healthiest dragons possible for ownership or for breeding purposes.  Thank you for your interest and committment to the species of Pogona here in the US.
